Batu Kelebit Dive Spot

  Batu Kelebit is an excellent dive site in Tulamben. The beauty of the coral is incredible and goes beyond 60 meters deep. Batu Kelebit is excellent for deep diving or technical diving. The site drops to over 60 meters with an average depth of 25 meters. Little current in general and visibility of 10 to 30 meters.

To reach Batu Kelebit, you need to take a boat for 8 minutes from the drop off, you will reach a beautiful cove at Batu Kelebit. Divers should get here from a local jukung boat (small boat), put on the equipment in the water before diving down. At a depth of 2 meters you will enjoy a beautiful coral reef consisting of healthy hard corals. A family of bumphead parrotfish start feeding here every morning from the USAT Liberty Wreck. Down the slope you can find the healthiest corals in Tulamben. When there is current, there is a great chance of seeing large creatures such as groupers or sharks. The water temperature is 28-30 degrees all year round.

You’ll see three steep ridges encrusted with a wonderful diversity of hard and soft corals, fire and table corals, many beautiful sea fans, and sponges.Between the ridges are channels of grey and white sand that run 25-40m in depth.
